Hello, hope all is well. Spring is finally here and winter has receded, which means I’ll have to mow the lawn every two weeks until October. Oh the joy. Anyway, this is the first ‘proper’ blog post on my website and I thought I’d do a run-through of the new releases coming soon…
BLACK STAR BLACK SUN (re-release)
Previously published by April Moon Books, this novella will be re-released by Black Shuck Books. Steve Shaw (owner of Black Shuck) has done a great job with the cover design and all other aspects of the book, and it’s due out any day now. It’s a tale of cosmic horror, lost loved ones, old memories and extinction set in an isolated village in the South West of England.
Secondly, there is my cosmic horror novella MANIAC GODS, due to be published by the fellas over at the Sinister Horror Company. They previously published my vampire novella KING CARRION and did a fantastic job with it. Really excited about the book, and I can’t wait for it to be released.
Lastly, there is the anthology STORIES OF THE DEAD, published by EyeCue Productions and edited by Duncan Bradshaw and David Owain Hughes, both of whom are excellent writers (check out their work) and thoroughly decent chaps. It’s an anthology of zombie short stories dedicated to the memory of zombie king and filmmaker George A. Romero. He’s one of my heroes, and it’s an honour for my tale DEAD MEMORIES to be included in the book. The front cover is fantastic, a real work of art.
In other news, my novel THE COLD has been accepted by a publisher – I can’t reveal the name of the publisher, but it’s one I’ve always wanted to work with, and they’ve put out some great stuff. Pending the signing of the contract, it’ll hopefully be released next year. And I’m currently working on two novellas, one of which is a collaboration with the awesome William Holloway (check out his books, he’s a superb writer). Do you like squid?
Well, I think that’s it, for now. Take care, everybody. Cheers!
